Our family trip this year wasn’t hours away like it usually is, but right here in Celina, Ohio. I would always drive by Boardwalk Village and just admired it.
I rented five cottages and a penthouse. We all thought it felt like we were vacationing somewhere far away on a beach.
We went pontooning, jet skiing, fishing, bike riding, swimming, played games and did a lot of talking and laughing.
Our daughter said that this trip was one of her favorites. She said she felt like this was the first vacation she actually sat down and relaxed. She said she felt she didn’t have to worry so much about the kids because the cottages were closer together and they could walk from cottage to cottage. It felt safe there.
Our son said the drive was awesome. He said he never heard one time, “Are we about there?” He said the twenty minute drive back home was great.
Everyone had a great time and said that they would do this again. Thank you so much for developing such a unique vacation spot so close to home. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. – Tom and Lisa
