Since summer 2023, Boardwalk Marketplace has seen remarkable progress. Originally designed to offer a delightful experience for our guests and the public, we have recently completed Phase 2 of our development.
Our vision is to elevate the all-in-one experience at the village, featuring food, drinks, shops, games, sports, and a variety of enjoyable activities for all ages. Here’s a look at the latest additions:
New Attractions:
- Sand Volleyball Court: We’ve installed a stunning new sand volleyball court with 200 tons of tour-grade, soft white sand. Located front and center, this venue is perfect for hosting leagues, tournaments, family fun, yoga sessions, and even building giant sandcastles for the kids.
- Pickleball Court: On the southwest end of the marketplace, we’ve added an outdoor pickleball court, catering to this fast-growing sport enjoyed by all ages. Guests can bring their own paddles or rent them from Helton Lodge on-site.
- Additional Amenities: This year, we’ve also introduced new men’s and women’s restroom facilities, an ice cream shop, a beer shack, and a seasonal on-site food truck.
Current Marketplace Vendors:
- Helton Lodge Rentals: Now in its second season, Helton Lodge offers a range of on-site recreational rentals including boats, bicycles, golf carts, paddleboards, and a small convenience store with snacks, ice, apparel, and more.
- Dream Dippers: A family-owned ice cream shop serving homemade waffle cones, soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, iced coffee, and more.
- Beer Shack: Operated by the Boardwalk Grill team, this convenient shack offers a variety of domestic beers, seltzers, and more.
- TwoDads Food Truck: Making their debut this summer, TwoDads has made Boardwalk Marketplace their home, serving all things chicken and fries – chicken sandwiches, tenders, “bucket of friends” with delicious sauces, and new menu items on the way.
We hope our guests enjoy these new developments as much as we’ve enjoyed creating them. Looking ahead, Phase 3 plans include a full-service Tiki Bar and more shops to cater to our guests’ desires, ensuring a relaxing stay without the need to leave Boardwalk.
